Legendary rock guitarist and former Thin Lizzy star Gary Moore has died in Spain.
The 58-year-old, originally from Belfast, was found dead in a hotel room on the Costa del Sol.
Thin Lizzy founding member Brian Downey paid tribute to his friend.
"I am in total shock," he said. "He will always be in my thoughts and prayers and I just can't believe he is gone."
Moore had a successful solo career but it was for his time in Thin Lizzy that he will be best remembered.
He joined the band in 1973 after the sudden departure of guitarist Eric Bell but only played with them for four months.
Four years later he returned and went on to play on the band's Black Rose album.
Thin Lizzy guitarist Scott Gorham said it been a pleasure to share a stage with him.
"Playing with Gary during the Black Rose era was a great experience, he was a great player and a great guy," he said.

S****pGary Moore Although tabloid The Sun claims that Gary Moore died drowning in his own vomit after having been drinking champagne and brandy, the autopsy performed yesterday at the Institute of Legal Medicine of Málaga shows that in the absence of chemical analysis toxicology musician died of natural causes a potential victim of heart failure.
Moore was discovered by his fiancée unconscious in his bed shortly before 4 am. When they arrived the doctors had already died.
According to The Sun again, a nurse stated that it had found evidence that he had been drinking a lot, so someone from the hotel staff said they had found traces of alcohol in the room.
Yesterday afternoon Sunday, 6 February, the BBC website confirmed the death of the Irish guitarist at 58 years of age. The musician was on vacation at the Kempinski Hotel in Estepona, Málaga.
A native of Belfast, Moore played for Thin Lizzy, Skid Row and Colosseum II, in addition to an extensive and prolific solo career that included the Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, and in recent years, the Blues.
Adam Parsons, the current manager of Thin Lizzy, confirmed the news to the BBC.
