Here's some stuff that i am really into and play on cd and vinyl on a daily basis
Basicly i like it really heavy. Mostly the extremer forms of metal.

I do like some of the classic hard rock / metal stuff like Kiss, Motorhead, Judas Priest, Maiden, Saxon etc...
But they are the normal names everyone knows....there is so much more.

In the 80's and 90's i was heavily into speed, thrash and early doom and death metal, something i love to this day.
Old Metallica, Agent Steel, Anthrax, Holy Terror, Bathory, Forbidden,Celtic Frost,  Slayer, Artillery, WatchTower, Coroner, Saint Vitus...etc.
Never liked glam rock and still don't. Too soft for me.

My partner likes classic and opera.
He never complains when i play Hellhammer! It works.

hi Jake, some of these brings back some good memories back to me, I know I had the likes of Celtic Frost, Candlemass, King Diamond on vinyl many years ago & I used to love them, sadly I gave most of my records away , but it's great to hear Candlemass which was one of my fav doom metal bands, there was other great doom/thrash metal bands that came out of the 80's like Exodus, Testament, Paradise Lost, Crimson Glory, even Overkill was another heavy band of the 80's, you're right about the big divide about the Glam rock & the Thrashers/moshers I was into the Thrash & still enjoy it even today, but that's the beauty of Rock/metal etc! it formed into different genres throughout the years, you either liked it or not, I'm still proud of being a rock/metal/punk fan here.
