Gay places to go in New York city

Hello!
I am a bi married man, and my buddy is the same way. I like and admire older guys (over 60yo).

I am going to spend sometime with him this July in New York city. I would like to take him to some fun there...

Would you kindly suggest any nice gay place to go? I would like to find a safe place where we could watch some action going on , and we could also have some action there    .

As two married-to-woman guys, we are curious to see what goes on in those places, and if we could do this first time a memorable one, it would be perfect.
